Zorro has announced Ori, a conversational AI component of its Personalized Benefits Navigator. The rollout schedule matters: the company described initial employer cohorts, with full availability targeted for October 2026.
What is in the announcement
In its August 19 release, Zorro described an updated plan-selection experience and an expanded concierge service for employers with 250 or more employees. The company says the service includes dedicated teams and onsite enrollment support. These are company descriptions of the offering; ICHRA Report has not tested Ori or verified its recommendation accuracy. source
“Announced,” “available to an initial cohort” and “available to every eligible customer” are different product states. Buyers with a near-term implementation should ask which functions are included in their specific contract and which remain scheduled for a later release.
The employee problem to solve
For an employee, a useful plan-selection tool should make the relationship between premium, employer allowance and care needs understandable. It should also make it easy to check the original plan documents and reach a person when the answer depends on an uncertain network or drug-coverage detail.
An appealing explanation is not the same as an enrollment confirmation. During a demonstration, follow one sample employee through comparing plans, checking a physician, reviewing a prescription, making an election and confirming coverage. Ask the vendor to show the point at which the insurance carrier’s records become the source of truth.
A practical evaluation for an AI navigator
- Can the tool show the source and date of a network or formulary answer?
- Does it distinguish unavailable information from a negative coverage result?
- Can an employee compare the total cost assumptions behind two recommendations?
- How does a licensed adviser take over a conversation when needed?
- Can employees correct their circumstances before making a final election?
These are proposed evaluation questions, not findings that Ori passes or fails. They make a product demonstration more informative than a general promise of personalization.
What evidence would establish the result?
Comparable completion rates, documented coverage errors and employee feedback would help establish whether a navigator improves the decision. None of those outcomes should be inferred from an announcement. The employee also still needs to evaluate the ICHRA offer and any Marketplace financial-assistance implications. source
Our provider selection guide provides a broader evaluation framework. We will treat a confirmed general release and independently documented outcomes as separate future developments.
