Why each company made the list
Savii has a focused story for modern and distributed teams. Take Command is unusually easy to research because of its educational footprint; obtain a current written price. Remodel Health presents the strongest full-service enterprise case. PeopleKeep offers the clearest small-employer starting price. Thatch is differentiated by its wallet and platform strategy. SureCo is the clearest large-group specialist.
Those are meaningful differences, but they are not proof that a provider will outperform the others. Price, implementation quality, employee support, payment operations, integrations, and results must still be confirmed for the actual workforce.
How we built the shortlist
We reviewed each company’s public product pages, pricing material, documentation, market positioning, and available research. We looked for a coherent answer to five questions: who is the product for, what does it help the employer do, what does the employee experience look like, what does it cost, and what would still need to be verified in a demo or contract.
We did not purchase every platform or run the same employer through six implementations. For that reason, we do not publish an overall number-one provider or a synthetic score that implies more certainty than the public information supports.
How to turn this list into a buying process
- Choose the two or three provider reviews that match the employer’s size and service needs.
- Give every provider the same employee census and contribution assumptions.
- Ask for pricing in the same annual format.
- Have each company demonstrate enrollment, payroll, payment, and support workflows.
- Request customer references from employers with similar size, geography, and complexity.
- Move material promises into the contract and implementation plan.
