Remodel Health vs. PeopleKeep

Compare the documented service model, the full cost questions, and the work each provider would need to own.

Public-source comparison · Reviewed September 11, 2026

This is a comparison of product and service models within the same broader provider portfolio. It is not a comparison of two unrelated companies. Ask which team, contract and operating workflow will actually support your employees.

Compare the service model, not just the brand

Remodel Health presents ICHRA+ as a full-service offering, including individual guidance, automated premium payments and payroll/HRIS compatibility. Its site also lists PeopleKeep as an HRA administration offering for small businesses. PeopleKeep publishes a starting price and describes digital administration.

Those descriptions provide a starting hypothesis: the products may serve different levels of operational complexity. They do not establish that one is always better for a particular employer size, or that all capabilities and service teams are shared. Confirm the exact scope instead of transferring a claim from one product to the other.

Ask what the service difference costs

PeopleKeep publishes starting ICHRA pricing of $25 per employee per month plus a $50 base fee and a three-seat minimum. Its page says opted-out employees are not charged. Confirm administrator seats and the full applicable terms. The reviewed ICHRA+ page does not establish a complete comparable price.

Request proposals using the same workforce, plan year and requirements. Ask each team to itemize implementation, billing population, minimums, payment operations, integrations, employee support and renewal terms. Describe any work your own team or broker will retain so you do not compare a managed service with a different scope of administration.

Test the operational differences

  • Which product handles premiums and reimbursements, and who resolves failed payments?
  • What licensed guidance and year-round employee assistance is included?
  • Does the exact payroll or HRIS configuration work with this product, rather than another product in the portfolio?
  • Who owns launch, data cleanup, notices, enrollment and ongoing reporting?
  • What circumstances would require moving between products, and what changes in contract, data or support would that create?
  • Can the team demonstrate the quoted workflow and provide references with comparable requirements?

Document the work you need someone to own

An employer seeking managed transition and payment support has reasons to examine ICHRA+. An employer seeking a clearly priced administration starting point has reasons to examine PeopleKeep. These are evaluation paths based on public descriptions, not independently verified performance rankings.

Start with an evaluation brief, then compare written commitments. Use the Remodel Health review and PeopleKeep review for further questions. Keep unresolved service, integration and cost assumptions visible in the final decision.

Sources and evidence

Review dates are recorded for each source above. Company pages are useful for confirming how a product is described, but they do not prove service quality or customer results.
